General Motors – Parma, Ohio
After being invited to present our TNA Torque + Angle Fastening System at the exclusive GM Facilities Steel Construction Symposium, General Motors was excited to put the system to the test. This first GM application was an extensive crane rail retrofit. The work required a weekend shut down of the production facility so time was critical. The steel connections were old and required that the fastening system could pull misaligned plies together reliably to ensure proper tensioning.
The TNA Fastening System was the only choice. Our Torque + Angle System uses a high level of controlled snug, allowing these joints to be compacted efficient and accurately. From that condition it’s easy to set the tool to Angle and pretension each bolt precisely. The work was completed successfully on time to ensure the plant could begin production from the first shift.
